Complete routine client processing for bookkeeping in line with the agreed service proposal
Ensure that work is completed/reviewed in line with current VAT and tax legislation, being mindful of special VAT schemes in place, including partial exemption and property transactions.
Preparation and where applicable submission of monthly/quarterly VAT returns
Where payroll journals are posted ensure monthly reconciliation of all associated liabilities (net wages control, PAYE liability and pension liability)
Preparation of client monthly/quarterly management accounts in line with the agreed service proposal - the expectation is that in addition to routine processing the preparation of management accounts would also include journals such as accruals, prepayments and depreciation
Raising of monthly/quarterly invoices submitted to the client in line with the agreed service proposal
Routine review of fees for monthly/quarterly billing between budget and service proposal
Supporting client managers as required for the preparation of company accounts and corporation tax including the use and completion of template working papers
Supporting client managers as required for the preparation of sole trader accounts and personal tax including the use and completion of template working papers
Support for the team in the filing of accounts with Companies House and Corporation Tax
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least two years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
