Job Description
  • Bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • General Bookkeeping
  • Purchase and sales ledger processing
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Produce management accounts monthly and end of year accounts.
  • Month End Accounts Payroll (Staff Monthly Wages)
  • Some Administrative processes. Absence, Sickness, etc.
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Processing supplier payments on time
  • Producing and submitting VAT Returns
  • Preparation of Statutory accounts and year-end duties
  • Some credit control, setting up new clients, credit checks
  • Manage cashflow
  • Maintain workplace pension and make monthly submissions
  • Some Company Secretary duties such as submission of Annual return to Companies House
  • Other duties as required (annual compliance, review of policies, leases etc- with Directors, monitoring of energy consumption)
  • Managing VAT and duty payments for incoming shipments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Analytical approach with the ability to make changes
  • Be able to manage your own diary and work to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal administration and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and team-working skills
  • High level of accuracy and ability to spot numerical differences
  • Preferred proficiency in Sage 50 accounts and Sage 50 Payroll or similar software
  • Drive and passion to help the business grow and work with Directors to achieve this.
