Oversee the monthly accounting calendar and period closure
Supporting financial accounting, production of statutory and annual account
Support the external audit and year-end accounts production process
Lead role in the maintenance of the accounting system, support its users and systems development, including reporting systems, dashboards and add-on tools.
Play a lead role in ensuring the integrity of the charity’s financial accounts, consolidation of the group accounts, support the effective and timely processing of financial transactions for all entities within the group.
Day to day responsibility and ownership of the fixed assets register
Lead on all tax matters including; VAT returns, PAYE, Capital Gains and Corporation Tax returns, liaison with tax advisors and taxation reviews.
Primary role in balance sheet management and all related controls and reconciliations
Line management of sales and purchase ledgers (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions)
Support the day to dayy relationship management with the charity’s bankers and investment managers
Work as team member of the Finance department
Take part in cross-directorate corporate projects and working groups.
Deputies for the Head of Finance for own areas of responsibility
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
CCAB qualified
Experience in charity sector at a similar level
Experience of year-end audit, preparation of financial statements, fund accounting and treasury management.
