Job Description
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of finance processes, including month-end, bank reconciliations, and reporting.
- Leading month end close process, including preparation of monthly journals, stock accounting and the production of full financial statements.
- Working closely with the Head of Finance on monthly and weekly financial reviews
- Preparation of the monthly review pack and collaborating with business stakeholders to understand actuals performance and any variances to budget.
- Preparation of short-term cash flow forecasts based on the latest activity to enable close monitoring of upcoming cash needs of the business.
- Support on improving financial processes, controls and systems, ensuring that we are equipped with the right tools to grow an efficient and future-proof Finance function.
- Lead on statutory reporting and support with the annual audit
- Supporting the Head of Finance with finance projects to assist with ongoing investment funding rounds.
- Support senior leadership with ongoing commercial and operational project work
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified Accountant (or overseas equivalent)
- Knowledge of statutory reporting and technical accounting best practice
- Track record of system and process improvement, as well as generating new insights
- Ability to get to grips with and report on complex data
- A strong business partner with the ability to work across he commercial teams
