Job Description
  • Processing income and expenditure transactions.
  • Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, and yearly).
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT, CIS and  submissions.
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll and pension data.
  • Reconciliation against various accounts.
  • Submitting dormant accounts returns.
  • Liaising with clients and accountants on the phone and via email to deal with any queries.
  • Managing financial deadlines.
  • Producing invoices on behalf of clients.
  • Monitoring client mailboxes for paperwork.
  • Constant review of business processes to ensure efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Invoicing
  • Payroll
  • VAT
  • CIS returns
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Can communicate confidently in writing, in person and by telephone.
  • Is numerate and able to analyses data, delivering results in various reports.
  • Pays attention to details, spots discrepancies and missing information.
  • Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment.
  • Must have a positive and flexible attitude.
  • CIS experience an advantage.
  • QuickBooks and Xero would be ideal but not essential.
  • Experience of 'working in practice’ an advantage ·
  • Two years of accounts experience.
  • Accountancy Manager/bookkeeper an advantage.
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task
