Produce monthly management accounts including commentary on progress and exceptions
Carry out the business partner role with all departments within Response
Ensure the integrity of accounts through carrying out monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Support finance team in areas such as statutory accounts preparation
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including advising budget holders at all levels and assisting budget holders in identifying opportunities for cost saving and investment
Provide financial support, insight, challenge and partnership to managers preparing bids for new business/projects
Work with the managers to develop a working understanding of bids, identifying risks and proposing mitigations as appropriate
Financially analyses and interpret bids and prepare detailed financial data/budgets to support the bids including a review of existing budgets to ensure good fit.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional qualification in accountancy and up to date knowledge of UK GAAP
Substantial commercial understanding and experience of tendering exercises
Sound financial advice and experience establishing reporting and pricing models
Significant experience of finance business partnering including the preparation and communication of budgets, forecasts and management accounts
