Job Description
- Defining credible practice for sustainability systems based on emerging global consensus
- Convening forums for collaboration, sharing of experience and collective action
- Delivering expertise, advice and training
- Facilitating and promoting innovation to strengthen sustainability systems.
- Reporting to the Executive Director and forming part of the senior leadership team, The Director of Finance and Operations provides forward-looking strategic leadership to support organizational and programmatic financial and operational effectiveness.
- The director will oversee improvements and evolution of organizational systems, processes and policies to keep pace with organizational growth.
- They will lead the Finance and Operations Team of five staff and line manages two managers.
- The director will work closely with the Partnerships Manager responsible for organizational fundraising, and the Innovations Fund Manager responsible for grant-making.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- As a qualified Accountant (CCAB, CIMA or international equivalent), they will have a comprehensive understanding of charity governance and regulatory reporting guidelines.
- They will have experience of developing contracts, overseeing legal functions and working with external legal partners.
- You will be a confident leader with a collaborative working style that will add value to the senior leadership team and wider organization.
