You will have responsibility for using established systems and in line with Department of Health guidance and meet patients to check those patients who are newly referred or attending hospital for a new episode of treatment are entitled to free NHS hospital treatment.
You should be experienced in the full range of administrative and organisational policies acquired through training and experience. Ability to present relevant information / reports in a concise format is essential.
You will have responsibility for the management of support administration staff within the team, offering advice and guidance and ensuring they develop professionally within their roles.
Dedicated to delivering high standards of work, you will have previous experience in a similar administrative/clerical role with good spreadsheet and keyboard skills. Previous experience in the NHS is essential as is familiarity with Windows packages, plus previous experience of creating and maintaining spreadsheets. You will need strong time management and organisation / prioritorisation skills; be able to use your own initiative and have good written and verbal communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
