Have a good knowledge of current financial reporting standards and best practice reporting processes and be able to provide technical advice as needed.
Consult with external auditors to ensure that evidence and robust explanations are provided to support the audit.
Provide support across the finance team as an advisor for technical accounting matters and make sure that all known technical accounting issues are dealt with in a timely and planned manner.

Review current systems and processes to make sure they incorporate the appropriate financial controls, and that system documentation is accurate and up to date.
Be responsible for monthly reconciliations of ledger balances and making sure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Maintain the fixed asset register, undertaking appropriate periodic impairment reviews and revaluation of assets, including review of useful economic life.
Assist with payroll and pension tasks including collaborating with Principal Financial Accountant in the annual pay remit process to analyses various distribution options.
Assist with the preparation of reports and papers to the Executive Committee and other management Boards/Committees
