Prepare and analyses management accounts for the Chief Accountant to present to Directors and management team.
Ensuring that finance and accounts operations are carried out in a timely manner.
Work with the Chief Accountant on cash flow forecasting, budgeting, cost monitoring and control and assist with financial audits.
Support the Chief Accountant in the development, communication, and implementation of the company's strategic plans.
General accounting such as managing the month-end process, monthly accruals, prepayments, and journals.
Managing corporate credit card and employee expenses, cash management and banking, credit control and debtor management.
Posting invoices and credit notes as required and preparing and processing supplier payments.
Accountable for team performance, staff development and recruitment alongside accountability for team projects and deliverables and allocating team resources taking priorities into account.
Ensure compliance regulations are met, and that processes and tasks are compliant to current legislation and carried out in accordance with company policies within required time frames.
Guaranteeing adequate and up-to-date cover for general insurance needs of the business.
Act as deputy for Chief Accountant, as agreed, to cover periods of absence.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification or relevant experience is essential.
Highly communicable and encouraging - ability to engage, teach and develop people within the team.
Proficient with accounting software package and working experience with Microsoft packages.
Experience working within a financial team and working knowledge of financial regulations.
An individual who is motivated, driven to achieve results and has a high level of attention to detail.
