Job Description
  • Reconciliation of all ledgers e.g., bank, credit card, cash etc.
  • Reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Calculation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Calculation and submission of CIS returns.
  • Posting of journals e.g., PAYE, VAT, pension, etc.
  • To maintain electronic filing of reports and records.
  • Resolving and reconciling bookkeeping queries.
  • To utilize internal recording systems and follow internal procedures to ensure work and data are recorded and completed to an exemplary standard.
  • To provide excellent client care both on the phone and in person, delivering reports and updates.
  • To work effectively and efficiently as part of a close-knit bookkeeping team, providing support and cover.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Educated to AAT Level or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum of two years working in an Accountancy Practice preparing work for multiple clients.
  • A sound working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks 
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Proficient IT skills (Excel and Word essential).
  • Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy.
  • A good understanding of the double entry system.
