Allocating receipts and payments posted, investigating differences and liaising with brokers’ finance departments;
Responsible for the balancing of cashbooks for bank accounts and preparing bank reconciliations;
Producing and submitting payment bordereaux; preparation of payment to insurers on a monthly basis
Managing the issuance of monthly statement to the brokers and coordinate with the business regarding outstanding premiums
Liaison with underwriting departments to assist with collection of premium or renewals of business with outstanding debt
Reviewing, monitoring and resolving technical questions from Exchanging and brokers;
Responsible for chasing, allocating and settling debtor and creditor transactions within agreed timescales; Preparation of monthly credit control report for the Board;
Other ad-hoc projects and accounting tasks accounting, with occasional contribution to month end reporting to the group
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least two years’ experience in accounts receivable (preferably in insurance)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Good numerical skills and attention to detail
Ability to priorities and organize own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to
