Job Description
Preparing assigned monthly journals, demonstrating compliance with accounting standards and group guidelines
Responsibility for monthly preparation of accruals and prepayments
Preparing assigned balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis to include personnel accruals/payroll, stock, investigating and correcting differences
Assisting with preparation of annual statutory
Assisting with preparation of inputs for tax computations
Assisting with coordinating and conducting regular stock counts
Liaison for external and internal auditors
Supporting other departments in understanding financial matters
Analyze electronic and manual receipts for correct allocation onto customer and general ledger accounts
Liaise with Credit Control team providing reporting on incoming daily receipts to ensure timely and correct allocation
Processing of customer credit card payments
Banking and processing of customer cheques on a weekly basis
Uploading invoices to customer portals
Contacting customers for payment of invoices due or overdue
Analyze bank statements and extract direct debits for allocation to supplier and general ledger accounts
Prepare and post manual cheque payments on a daily basis
Assigning supplier invoices to relevant workflow authorizer
Assist with intercompany transactions (invoices/loans/deposits/transfers)
Balance sheet reconciliations (including bank reconciliations)
Coordinate filing and archiving of financial documents
