Preparation of monthly management accounts to in accordance with published timetable
Production and issuing of departmental profit reports
Balance sheet reconciliations
Calculation and processing deferred revenue adjustments
Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
Review and preparation of monthly VAT returns
Assist with preparation of year end audit including attendance at stocktakes
Reviewing journals and other work of junior accounts staff
Sales Ledger export to our accounts system of the monthly invoices, checking allocation to nominal codes.
Control of fixed asset registers and finance lease registers
Preparation and filing of Government statistics
Liaise with HMRC; work and build strong relationships with Auditors
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
A solid foundation of basic accounting skills is also required for this role, including an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles.

A high degree of organizational and strategic thinking skills
Good working knowledge of VAT
A team player who is willing to get involved in other duties outside their day-to-day role.
Excellent Excel skills – v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
