Accounts Assistant
Full-time, Contract
Job Description
  • Cash - managing various petty cash floats
  • Receiving and banking of cheques
  • Bookkeeping entries in the Finance system (Sage)
  • Purchase Ledger - processing of purchase invoices, coding, sending for authorisation, electronic filing
  • Sales Ledger - raising invoices through the Finance system (Sage), receiving payments; and reconciling bank accounts and ledger accounts
  • Reconciling the bank statements and other ledger accounts, making journal entries to the nominal ledger as required
  • Assisting with other finance functions, and assisting other members of the team as requested by the Finance Team Leader

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to act on own initiative and be proactive
  • Efficient and systematic working, with good record keeping, follow-through and review processes
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team
