Job Description
- Understand and feed in to the Performance Pack
- Use the key metrics to drive performance improvement by supporting and partnering with the Business.
- Use technical skills to process and analyses a large amount of data with the objective of distilling insightful messages to be conveyed to management in order to allow them to take targeted action
- Accurate and timely production of the monthly accounts, ensuring they are produced on a true and fair basis.
- This will include posting appropriate journals (accruals, transfers) and looking for ways to improve the journal processes through faster data extraction and automation.
- Identify opportunities and areas for attention and recommend options for action and help implement any improvements needed
- Ensure accurate and timely data analysis is prepared to support the production of the Management Accounts pack and Operational Performance Report.
- Actively participate in cross business reviews to compare unit cost data, understand the reasons for variances, cause and effect relationships· Support the forecast and budgeting process, as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified accountant. ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA
- Highly numerate and good with Excel, and with a strong commercial aptitude.
