Job Description
- Purchase and sales ledger maintenance - invoice processing and payment runs
- Credit control and aged debtor reports
- VAT calculations and submissions to HMRC
- Bank reconciliations
- Account reconciliations
- Generation of management accounts, to include cashflow forecasting, budgets, profit and loss
- Yearend accounts to submit to external Practice for audit
- Advise leadership and commercial on effective costings and profit margins to maximize revenue
- Support business strategy with effective financial planning in relation to capital expenditure and investments
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exposure to Quickbooks and/or Sage will be vital
- Prior experience in an SME or owner-managed business
- Must be flexible in approach, happy to work as part of a close-knit team
- Be willing and confident enough to lead on information delivery, yet challenge leadership on decisions impacting company finances
- Medium to advanced Excel skills
