Job Description

The Role

  • Daily data input to Insolvency Practitioners Software
  • Deal with daily post, banking and reconcile client accounts
  • Deal with telephone/email enquiries from colleagues from other offices, banks and HMRC
  • Processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings.
  • Processing of dividend payments
  • Processing of VAT and Corporation Tax returns
  • Monthly bordereaux
  • The preparation of cheques and processing of bank transfers in accordance with Procedures.
  • The control and administration of client/office ledgers and deposit accounts.
  • Investment of funds
  • Perform a variety of routine & non routine tasks without supervision
  • Help to sort out any queries which may arise on any Receipt & Payments.
  • Ensure the cashier function is fully compliant with all current legislation, data protection and regulatory requirements are met

Experience and Skills

  • Ideally, you will have a proven track record of working in a cashiering setting within a professional services firm (Insolvency or legal)
  • Good technical knowledge of cashiering
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision
  • Accurate data-entry skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel

Salary

A competitive salary between £20k and £26k pa is negotiable for this role subject to experience and qualifications.
