Working closely with the Managing Director, the Head of Finance is a key member of the division’s senior management team, responsible for leading and managing the financial and business support services within the unit.
It is a very visible role and will be responsible for liaising and coordinating with departments in order to ensure that private revenue accounting and financial planning and effective, and those financial opportunities are identified and leveraged.
The post holder is accountable for delivering effective financial and business systems and processes within the directorate; establishing and maintaining appropriate systems and operating procedures; while striving for constant quality improvement.
You will provide the reporting and analysis to support the business in its decision-making.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with substantial post-qualification experience of financial management in a healthcare environment that has included hospital services.
Especially important will be your ability to lead a finance team and add a new dimension to their capabilities.
Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll need to rapidly develop effective working relationships in a fast-paced environment.
