Job Description
  • Responsible for the monthly reporting, variance analysis and  for the Programmers Portals, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Responsible for reviewing and issuing the claims to the Programmed leaders and Global team Leaders ensuring any required adjustments are accurately completed within the deadline.
  • Responsible for the setup of new projects in the financial systems for the Programmers.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports and analysis to enhance understanding of the performance of the Projects.
  • Assist the Senior Project Accountant with all audit requirements, donor reporting and monthly Programmed and Project income accruals.
  • Provide first-line support to the Task Managers and Project Managers and Regional Office Finance Staff.
  • Assist in accounting, budgeting and re-forecasting processes for Programmes and various externally funded projects.
  • Ensure good financial controls and compliance with company accounting procedures to satisfy audit requirements.
  • Undertake training on the new finance system and provide support and assistance during the implementation stage.
  • Other ad hoc tasks and analysis within the grade criteria as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Financial Systems
  • Project Accounting
  • AAT qualified.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
  • Experience of project accounting and reporting within an international context.
  • Experience of budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
  • Proficient in the use of a wide range of IT packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook and accountancy system
  • Good team player with a flexible and positive can-do attitude and willingness to deal with changing demands of the role.
  • Highly organized and professional approach to work with the ability to exercise initiative and
  • Priorities under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills ability to communicate cross culturally and at all levels.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
