To constantly look to identify and lead on improvements to the organization’s financial systems, controls and procedures.
In conjunction with the Operations Director develop , deliver and report against them.
To lead and develop the finance team and ensure a high quality of work; working as a team to align finances to the strategy to ensure strategic goals are met
Be responsible for the management and co-ordination of work activity within the Finance team.
Undertake performance management of the Finance team, including appraisals and identification and monitoring of development and training needs.
Design and implement new processes and procedures for income recording to achieve more efficient and accurate reporting, and ensure the financial processes are adhered to.
Lead the implementation of a new payroll system that provides a self-service system for employees and workers.
Oversee the production of annual budgets.
Oversee the preparation of management accounts and budget for our sister company.
Actively promote a working environment that builds trust, high performance and continued improvement.
Any other duties as reasonably requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or a similar role
In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
