Job Description
- To constantly look to identify and lead on improvements to the organization’s financial systems, controls and procedures.
- In conjunction with the Operations Director develop , deliver and report against them.
- To lead and develop the finance team and ensure a high quality of work; working as a team to align finances to the strategy to ensure strategic goals are met
- Be responsible for the management and co-ordination of work activity within the Finance team.
- Undertake performance management of the Finance team, including appraisals and identification and monitoring of development and training needs.
- Design and implement new processes and procedures for income recording to achieve more efficient and accurate reporting, and ensure the financial processes are adhered to.
- Lead the implementation of a new payroll system that provides a self-service system for employees and workers.
- Oversee the production of annual budgets.
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts and budget for our sister company.
- Actively promote a working environment that builds trust, high performance and continued improvement.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or a similar role
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
- Relevant accounting qualification - ACA
