Providing guidance to the Finance function, the successful candidate will also advise on how to optimize technology, data and reporting to strengthen the efficiency of the team.
Support ongoing releases and upgrades Finance and Operations through understanding and testing new features and validating finance related regression tests
Support new business initiatives that impact finance systems and processes.
Work with the business and the program team to understand the new functionality, determine how it impacts finance and advise on finance specific testing required
Communicate upcoming systems changes to the Finance Team and work with Finance Subject Matter Experts to ensure all developments are fully tested and meet with Finance requirements before deployment
Lead the finance continuous work stream initiatives by identifying opportunities for new features or reporting and work with the functional and development teams to define, test and deploy the new requirement
Provide hyper care support to the finance teams following any implementation.
Collaborate with external suppliers to complete the Accounts Payable project for stock invoices and make enhancements for non-stock invoices
Implement robust controls and mechanisms to flag finance issues created by interface or systems failures
Support the annual audit process by being point of contact for systems information and data requests
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with two or one years post-qualification
Experience working in a busy finance team
Great understanding of interfaces with other systems, data extraction, manipulation and interrogation
Good attention to details and strong organization skills
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
