Assistant Accountant
Full-time, Temporary
Job Description
Raising and issuing invoices
Uploading invoices into the company's accounting software
Responding to customer queries and managing credit control
Maintaining customer details on the company's management system and accounting software
Coding and approving supplier invoices
Managing sales and purchase ledger
Assisting with credit card payments and processing onto the company's accounts software
Assembling payment runs and processing through BACS
Checking and processing employee expenses
Processing bank transactions and reconciliation
General administration supporting the effective running of the office
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience in a similar role
A general understanding of accounting principles and associated regulatory matters would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided
Ability to priorities workload and meet deadlines
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
Experience in dealing with clients and other members of the professional team
Ability to communicate effectively, writing clear and concise emails, letters and reports
Good commercial awareness and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
