Job Description
- Managing the finance team
- Implementing and developing new accounting systems and processes to support the Firm with its business plan
- Budgeting, business planning, preparing management accounts and reporting
- Auditing
- Partner with the wider Firm, taking the lead on the continual development of both internal reporting
- Managing the development of our legal accounting system with IT and external providers
- Reviewing processes and implementing new, robust ones
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Commercially and financially astute
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant
- Extensive experience in a Head of Financial Controller role, ideally within a legal environment
- Excellent analytical, decision making and communication skills, with the demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level within your current role
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft; Outlook, Excel and Word
- Have experience in managing a small team
- Be experienced and comfortable in dealing with suppliers such as banks, insurance brokers and auditors
- Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Have a professional attitude
