Providing critical oversight over the fixed asset register across a multitude of to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
Take full responsibility for the allocations of funds for essential capital projects, making reasonable judgements to ensure all sites and buildings are well-maintained.
Produce vital reports for Directors which outline assets and updates on all projects on a monthly basis.
Identify and implement system and process improvements for all things capital accounting.
Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure capital funding is spent as allocated and to provide guidance and assistance on all fixed-asset related queries.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be a capable Capital Accountant with a background in all things financial reporting and accounting for large-scale capital projects.
Have experience working within the not-for-profit or public sector and have a good understanding of relevant reporting standards.
Be familiar with accounting systems and feel confident learning new finance software with ease.
Have experience maintaining a large and complex fixed asset register.
