Job Description
- Providing critical oversight over the fixed asset register across a multitude of to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Take full responsibility for the allocations of funds for essential capital projects, making reasonable judgements to ensure all sites and buildings are well-maintained.
- Produce vital reports for Directors which outline assets and updates on all projects on a monthly basis.
- Identify and implement system and process improvements for all things capital accounting.
- Liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure capital funding is spent as allocated and to provide guidance and assistance on all fixed-asset related queries.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Be a capable Capital Accountant with a background in all things financial reporting and accounting for large-scale capital projects.
- Have experience working within the not-for-profit or public sector and have a good understanding of relevant reporting standards.
- Be familiar with accounting systems and feel confident learning new finance software with ease.
- Have experience maintaining a large and complex fixed asset register.
