Leading the team - offering guidance and support to three direct reports ensuring all processes and transactions are completed, correct, and adhered to. Being the go-to person for solving team queries.
Reviewing and maintaining the current Finance system. After settling into the role and team you will then be required to put forward a business case for implementing and running a new finance system.
Contributing to both month end and year end. With work on VAT returns and capital grants also included within the role.
Assisting the wider business with budget spend and planning and forecasting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A confident and proficient Financial Accountant with management experience.
Able to assist with a business case for a new finance system including the implementation.
Comfortable with Excel - having the ability to produce reports for differing audiences and delivering messages to key stakeholders and the senior management team.
Able to act well under pressure - working well on their own or within a team.
Fully qualified. Part qualified accountants are still advised to apply if all other points are met.
