Job Description

• Preparation of annual revenue and capital budget
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of monthly cashflow reports.
• Monitoring the financial position of all cost centres and provide support to budget managers.
• Monitoring expenditure and project salary costs against budgets.
• Recommending efficiency savings
• Assisting in the preparation of the business case for capital investment programmers
• Supporting the tendering and evaluation process for all of the institutions contracts
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of all college financial applications.
• Analyzing financial data and produce reports to management
• Be a contact point for internal and external auditors as appropriate.
• Maintaining rolling schedule of implementation of audit recommendations.
• Managing and completing the year-end financial accounts
• Ensuring that all grant claims and statistical returns are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis.
• Ensuring bank accounts and all control accounts are subject to regular reconciliation and that unexplained items are investigated.
• Ensuring that quarterly VAT returns are submitted on a timely basis
• Assisting with the development and training of finance staff.
