Job Description

Responsibilities of the Mortgage Administrator role:

  • Communicating with Advisers, building a strong rapport and relationship, working together to ensure clients are dealt with in an appropriate and efficient manner from submission of applications up to completion.
  • Managing converted cases alongside with Advisers to ensure all paperwork and relevant documentation is completed and uploaded to the client folder when a case is received.
  • Liaising and working proactively with the lenders to ensure that the mortgage applications move to offer as quickly as possible to meet the client exchange deadlines.  Chasing all cases as required.
  • Provide clients with regular updates throughout the buying process and help with any non advice based queries that they have to ensure a high quality service.
  • Electronic filing of clients documents and information during the process of the application.
  • Process received mortgage offers and send them to Advisers to check and include Help to buy approvals if applicable. Sending mortgage offers and valuation reports to solicitors and clients.
  • Working pro-actively with solicitors when mortgage offers have been issued to ensure exchange and completion deadlines are met along with negotiators, introducers and solicitors.
  • Liaising with Advisers to obtain updates on cases that they are working on but not submitted into the office for processing.
  • Check and update reports for weekly introducer updates.
  • Keeping a Diary system to chase Advisers for missing documents and information and keeping the Diary system up to date.
  • Maintain Compliance and Business Standards to ensure the organisation is managing its key business risks effectively and is meeting its regulatory responsibilities at all times.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience within mortgages Excellent communication skills both spoken and written Excellent attention to detail, methodical & thorough Ability to prioritise and multi task and to work under pressure Excellent time management and adhering to deadlines Excellent organisational and administration skills Ensuring customer satisfaction Able to function independently and jointly as a member of a Team Good computer skills with knowledge of word, excel and outlook Demonstrates an awareness of the regulatory requirements that Mortgage Advisers are governed by
