Job Description
Your role will be to support the sales & marketing teams in all data and administration tasks which range from helping us to keep our CRM systems up to date to taking responsibility for general organisation and time saving activities that facilitate increased levels of face to face, email and telephone activity by our professional sales & marketing teams. There will also be some client contact required. You will be part of a close knit and friendly team who are driven to achieve high levels of client retention and new client acquisition.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Mercia Commercial Team and undertaking specific duties within the Sales and Marketing function including the following.
- Extract and manipulate data from our databases by running regular reports, exporting to Excel and displaying in various formats to showcase the Commercial Team’s progress against objectives to the wider business
- Update and collate client, product & marketing campaign information for use by the sales & marketing team using Sharepoint and
- Add and amend Mercia website content in line with requests from Marketing
- Meticulously manage the sales team in box
- Usage reporting for our products to support the sales team’s client conversations and the marketing team’s communications strategy
- Arrange and administer Commercial Team internal meetings including minute taking and circulation of action points
- Data capture where required
- Telephone follow up with clients who have provided us with positive feedback to arrange testimonials and case studies
- Build fast relationships with your colleagues over MS Teams & Zoom - we are all still working remotely at the moment
- Over time develop a good understanding of the industry Mercia supports and the key benefits that we bring to our clients.

You will also need;
- A 'can do’, friendly and positive attitude
- To be really organised and be able to prioritise
- The ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing
- Competent in a range of IT systems and MS software including at least intermediate Excel skills
- A willingness to learn, to adapt and to add value
- Some experience of working in an admin support function
- To feel confident in asking questions when seeking to understand
- Great attention to detail, time keeping and a sense of responsibility
