Job Description
  • Manage the business planning and operating financial model update process, including reconciliations to the lifecycle model, presentation to the Board, and securing funder approval.
  • Perform rolling cash flow analysis to ensure compliance with contractual covenants, reporting, and model updates.
  • Liaise with Asset Managers related matters, such as the lifecycle model, quote model (variations process), and other commercial aspects.
  • Cultivate and manage key stakeholder relationships, including Asset Management, the Board, Funders, Treasury Team, Tax Advisors, account bank, client finance representative, and rating agencies where applicable.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly management accounts, including the finance report and executive summary for the Board.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of quarterly VAT Returns using the making tax digital platform.
  • Attend Board meetings and deliver insightful finance reports.
  • Collaborate with tax advisors to manage the tax affairs
  • Advise the Board on risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Manage the financial aspects of project commercial activity, such as variations, lifecycle expenditure, benchmarking, and market testing, ensuring accurate reflection in financial models and project documentation.
  • Oversee aged debtors and creditors, resolving overdue items.
  • Lead the statutory audit process and secure approval of the statutory accounts.
  • Review insurance cost-sharing calculations
  • Update the Invoice Model to incorporate any amendments to the Unitary Charge, ensuring alignment with the client.
  • Work closely with Accounts Assistants to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Contribute to the development of the finance function, team, and systems.
  • Undertake other duties within your professional expertise.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Finalist of ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to the Board.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
