Assist in statutory audits for a variety of clients in a junior capacity initially, developing into a semi senior and senior role as the candidate progresses through his/her training contract.
Assist with the accounts preparation of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Assist with preparation of VAT returns
Assist with basic tax compliance matters
Work at client premises, gaining awareness of business activities and operations.
Work with Partners and staff to provide a personal, professional service for the benefit of both clients and the firm.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Accountancy
Accounting
Business Advisory
A degree at 2.2 or above in any discipline; a minimum of 120 UCAS points
GCSE English Language, grade 4/5 (grade C) or above (or equivalent) and GCSE Maths, grade 6 (grade B) or above (or equivalent)
IT literate - Microsoft Office. Ability to use computerized accounting software
Ideally be able to drive, with own vehicle, or learning to drive
Professional attitude - identifies and acts upon client needs and is able to deliver excellent client services.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team and to form good relationships with staff and clients
