Undertake statutory and voluntary audits and report to the management on the findings of the audit.
Undertake Independent Examinations and report on the findings of the Independent Examination to the client.
Provide advice to clients as required, on various topics including but not limited to bookkeeping, VAT, personal and corporate tax.
Maintain accounting records and prepare management accounts and other management information for clients
Liaise with clients and Directors as necessary
Review clients’ systems and analyses risk
Prepare annual financial statements and arrange submission to Companies House and HMRC as necessary
Calculate clients’ personal and corporation tax liabilities, advise them of their liabilities and submit their tax returns to HMRC as well as any VAT compliance
Provide reports on financial systems to clients if requested
Communicate with HMRC on the client’s behalf where necessary
Any other work as requested by the directors
Assist junior colleagues as necessary, including reviewing their work if required
Attend client meetings and client premises as required to fulfil the above duties
Inform the Directors of any issues or matters arising during the completion of the above duties
Liaise with internal and external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise
Produce reports and recommendations following internal audits or public sector audits
