Job Description
- Our client provides a range of accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of SME's, sole traders and individuals throughout the UK.
- Seeking a candidate with a background in bookkeeping and accounts preparation, gained within a practice environment.
- Bookkeeping on a range of software including Xero, Kashflow and Excel
- Creating the first draft of the VAT Return
- Bringing the accounts up to trial balance level ready for accounts preparation
- Liaising with clients
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Have minimum two years accounting experience, part of which MUST be within a practice of accountants
- AAT Qualified or final stages
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and bookkeeping packages
- Double entry bookkeeping skills
- Able to meet time constrictions and tight deadlines
- Inter-personal and customer service skills are essential
- Able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of accounting software such as Sage 50, XERO, Quickbooks etc and MS Excel
