Provide guidance to the wide finance team in all finance matter in a fast paced, growing business including guidance on any strategic and operational efficiencies can be made.
Main finance point of contact for all stakeholders of the UK business and for auditors and external accountants
Maintain all bookkeeping on Xero including approval of purchase and sales invoices raised by Assistant Accountant
Maintain year end close on Sage, Xero including completion of working papers and sending finalized trial balance for statutory accounts.
Management Accounting including reporting for each project monthly to parent company.
Review the monthly payroll for processing by external payroll provider.
Review weekly aged debtor and creditor reporting prepared by assistant accounting including weekly and monthly cashflow reporting.
Processing UK VAT returns through Xero
Providing figures to European tax teams for monthly VAT reporting
Liaising and work with external tax teams and the Managing Director to ensure correct process is in place for UK and overseas tax returns for employees deployed overseas.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with at least five years post qualified experience
Track record of establishing and improving strong processes
Strong working knowledge of UK & overseas VAT
Good working knowledge of double taxation for employees working overseas and personal taxation.
Fantastic communication skills and ability to deal with European parent company
Experience within the construction or engineering will be highly desirable.
