Upkeep of the property management system, ensuring the data is kept up to date and accurate at all times.
Reviewing building operational expenditure and investigating variances against budget.
Communicating effectively with building managers and head office staff to ensure timely delivery of monthly reports to Management, Directors and Lenders.
Preparation and review of the year end accounts including a reconciliation of tenant deposits held.
Monitoring supplier payments and ensuring operational funding is managed and in place.
Allocation of tenant receipts and processing tenant deposit refunds in a timely manner.
Weekly arrears review and the facilitation of arrears letters and direct debits.
Reconciliation and recharge of tenant direct recoveries.
Preparation and analysis of trial balances.
Liaison with Management Accounts, Financial Accounts and Auditors on financial statements.
Providing assistance to the Senior Property Accountant as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) is preferred.
Experience of at least two years in an Accounts Department within a Lettings or Property Management environment is essential.
The incumbent must be able to take ownership of their responsibilities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong data analysis skills.
