Job Description
- You will strategic input into the budget planning and reporting for the council, and report to the Head of Financial Strategy, leading on financial planning and reporting.
- The successful candidate will manage the corporate accounting team (three People) and help them lead on planning and reporting for the Capital and Investment Strategy, and the financing of the Capital Programmer.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- We are looking for CCAB qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience, specifically in Local government.
- Knowledge of local government financing, planning and statutory accounting regulations is essential.
- We are looking for a collaborative worker who can inform and influence colleagues and council members.
- Experience in appraisal of risk and the ability to advise a proportionate approach will benefit the council.
