Job Description
- Ensure consistent, precise and timely accounting procedures are adhered to throughout the business.
- Variance analysis
- Maintain cost centre profit and loss account and support cost centre owners in review and management of central costs.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of monthly consolidated financial information for the group (reported to the board and shareholders)
- Provide support to Account Assistant
- Ensure timely and precise reporting of monthly management accounts for all relevant group companies
- Support and assist with annual external and internal auditing
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and improvement
- Any other ad hoc work required by the Finance Business Partner
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- This job would suit a ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalist, or newly qualified accountant who will play a crucial role in providing a high quality, professional and responsive financial analysis, insight and decision-making support service to the business.
- The successful individual will have proven experience within a finance team across all aspects of the function, with a proven track record in a high growth environment.
- They will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build relationships and communicate across all levels of the business. Experience of creating accurate and timely reports, with the ability to effectively interrogate and summaries data to produce business insights is essential for this role.
- Advanced Excel skills are a must.
