Financial Accountant

Job Description
- Lead the capital accounting and collection fund activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate the closure of year-end accounts, VAT, and government returns
- Manage the financial accounting and treasury management functions, providing guidance and support to the team.
- Oversee payroll operations, bank reconciliations, insurance, car leasing functions, government returns, revenue accounts, and utilities coding.
- Take charge of bank reconciliations and effectively manage banking and payroll contracts.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all government returns.
- Collaborate with the Senior Financial Accountant on coding enquiries, Statement of Accounts production, and BACS processing.

- A degree or relevant experience in a similar environment. Membership in an appropriate professional body (CCAB) or equivalent professional experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in supporting the closure of accounts process for a large multi-disciplinary organization, resulting in compliant Statutory Statement of Accounts without qualification.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards, including Code of Practice on Local Government Accounts.
- Familiarity with business continuity practices.
