Maintain the multicurrency cashbooks for all companies and perform daily bank reconciliations.
Post sales and purchase invoices to sage and reconcile control accounts
Keep track of cashflow and unpaid invoices and advise management of upcoming issues so they can meet their financial and budgetary responsibilities.
Make payments in multi currencies and book current trades to cover cashflow requirements
Maintain intercompany accounts and reconciliations.
Produce monthly trial balances and profit and loss accounts of Sage.
Deal with foreign exchange differences on transactions.
Responsible for the quarterly reporting and payment of VAT, with consolidation of individual reports from USD and GBP reporting companies into single group return.
Responsible for payments of Inland Revenue and Corporation Tax liabilities
Reporting under Construction Industry Scheme
Company secretarial reporting including annual confirmation statements and any changes to directors
Compilation of figures for annual freight liability Insurance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Financial qualifications CCAB qualified or part qualified with relevant experience
Good solid base of experience in all accounting functions, and minimum five years experience in the workplace
Experience of working with multicurrency’s and foreign exchange transactions
Experience of working with group accounts and consolidations.
Good IT skills, ideally experience with Sage and Multifreight
Good excel skills, with the ability to manipulate data for analysis and consolidated reporting.
Self motivated with good organizational skills and the ability to priorities work to meet deadlines.
Able to work effectively without close managerial supervision and to monitor processes and procedures to advise management on the best accounting practice.
Meticulous in your work, with a concern for order and accuracy and attention to detail
Have a flexible approach to work, and willingness to adapt to meet changing work requirements or adhoc investigations as required.
