Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our company maintains a healthy cash flow and reduces bad debt exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers and establish appropriate credit limits.
• Actively chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence to ensure timely payments.
• Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and properly posted.
• Prepare regular reports on the status of outstanding debts and collections efforts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, resolving any issues that might affect payments.
• Ensure compliance with credit control procedures and company policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to handle difficult situations and negotiate effectively.
