About the Company:
This ambitious, privately owned SME retailer has tripled in size over the last five years, continually adding new brands to its portfolio. Join a dynamic and innovative team headquartered in West London, where you’ll collaborate with the Financial Controller and other key stakeholders to support the company’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Management (40% of role):
· Process stock and non-stock invoices, matching POs to invoices.
· Handle supplier queries and reconcile statements.
· Manage staff expenses and credit card reconciliations.
Month-End Support:
· Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
· Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Reporting:
· Produce weekly sales and margin reports for business distribution.
Ad Hoc Projects:
· Assist in process improvements and enhance finance systems.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across divisions.
. Strong accounts payable expertise, including matching invoices to purchase orders.
. Hands-on experience with month-end processes, such as accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
. Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Xero is an advantage).
. Knowledge of stock management or working in consumer-related industries is beneficial.
. Ambition to take on additional responsibilities and grow with the business.
