Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant capable of taking ownership of key responsibilities within the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the accounts inbox and efficiently handle queries.

  • Process payments, invoices, receipts, and income with attention to detail.
  • Accurately input financial data to streamline invoice processing.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations using Xero, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Process employee expense claims, verifying documentation and approvals.
  • Support the accountant with administrative tasks and assist in preparing annual accounts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow within bookkeeping and accounts.
  • Quick adaptability to new software, including Construction Management Software.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise effectively.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and processes.
  • Familiarity with VAT and CIS requirements (training provided if necessary).
  • Experience working with Xero is a plus but not mandatory.
