Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Management of the transactional finance function (1 direct report)
- Coordinating the client invoice schedule and raising client invoices
- Control and reconcile bank transactions - all payments including salaries
- Multi-currency accounting
- Producing and presenting full month-end analysis and reporting at company and department level
- Production of monthly management accounts pack with executive summary (KPIs, P&L, cashflow, balance sheet, budget, aged debtors, consultant billings and projected/actual profitability reports)
- Producing financial forecasts
- Coordinating the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with auditors where required
- VAT returns
- Taking responsibility for the budgeting, reporting and reconciliation of overheads
- Proactively improving internal processes and ensuring strong financial control exists around the recording and reporting of all sales, costs, commitments and accruals
- Development of a suite of reports along with ad-hoc reporting as and when required
- Attending and contributing to leadership meetings

- Company close-down between Christmas and New Year (not deducted from annual leave allowance)
- Non-contractual bonus scheme (up to 15% of salary)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ACCA / CIMA or QBE Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME environment Excellent working knowledge of SAGE 50 accounting Strong IT skills especially in relation to financial reporting and producing ad-hoc reports at short notice on a day-to-day basis, Enjoys taking ownership of tasks and working with a self-motivated and enterprising approach Demonstrates a growth mindset and an interest in seeing the role and business develop Collaborates effectively and enjoys working as part of a cohesive team Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills Numerate and analytical, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
