Job Description
The salary for this position is £23,000 - £26,000, depending on experience.
The main purpose of this role will be to undertake a wide range of sales support duties working directly for the Sales Director. This is a fast paced and very reactive area of the clients’ business, dealing with a vast number of enquires, so requires an enthusiastic and dependable applicant. It is essential you are focused, and goal orientated to be able to achieve the sales objectives.
The main duties will include:
- Being responsible for new enquiries, and processing all leads as appropriate
- Covering all administration roles relative to sales
- Liaising with all departments to ensure that deadlines are met for new orders
- Telephone communications with customers – dealing with queries
- Follow ups with customers
- Organising own labelling for customers, over-seeing label amends and liaising with the label designers, ensuring that the customer’s requirements are met
- Generating sales leads as required
- Providing necessary data for the Sales Director
- Arranging appointments with clients and the sales team
- Managing enquiries and posting on social media channels
- Updating website content as required
- Managing promotions via mailing lists, newsletters, and blogs
- Maintaining and develop existing customer relationships
- Generating new leads and opportunities with key decision makers
- Managing and arranging samples for customers, liaising with the laboratory/warehouse.
The candidate will be trained in all areas of office admin within the business and will be required to provide general admin cover during holiday and sickness periods.
The ideal applicant will have training in sales methods and procedures and have some sales/marketing qualification. Product knowledge training will be given.
