Job Description

Promoting and selling our products, with the objective to achieve and exceed targets. You will enjoy building relationships, generating new business, and managing existing trade accounts. You will also be capable of identifying real business opportunities and developing them into on-going business, with a particular focus on new business and increasing spend from existing trade.

Reporting to the B2B Director (based in Germany), duties will include (but not be limited to):
Sales:
- Working with the B2B Director to prepare and execute a commercial and market plan, including the development of the right market and price strategy
- Generate and oversee budgets
- Ensure KPI's are achieved or exceeded reporting performance to the B2B Director monthly
- Selling B2B products to independent & multiple retailers/large corporations
- Establish and develop new key and independent accounts
- Develop existing customer accounts, maximising revenues
- Expanding business network, identify leads and convert into sales
- Carry out regular customer performance reviews against agreed targets
- Keep abreast of latest products, industry developments and technology, constantly monitoring the market
- Represent the brands at trade exhibitions and events, both in the capacity of an exhibitor and a visitor
- Contract customer management
- Responsible for identifying and acting on new trends in the market, transforming these into improvement plans
- Monitoring and clearly understanding competitors, identifying target customers, thinking 'outside' the box and recognising opportunities
- Support the business in cross-functional projects to drive organisational advancement
- Monitoring your own short-term and long-term strategy

Building & leading the sales team:

- Build, coach, lead, mentor and develop the sales team
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the sales team to ensure they contribute commercially, they are motivated and efficient workers
- Ensure the sales team are fully trained and any additional training is carried out to a high standard
- Ensure the sales team work according to GDPR regulations
- Keep the team up to date with relevant issues and achievements
- Hold regular one-on-one sessions with each team member to discuss their performance, achievements, challenges, and projects
- Log the sales team's sicknesses and holidays with HR department
- Ensure time sheets are kept up to date and passed on to HR department
- Conduct staff appraisals
- Recruit new team members as required
- Ensure job descriptions and skills matrix are kept up to date

Marketing:

- Ensure marketing and sales materials are sent to prospective customers
- Oversee quarterly newsletters
- Assist with product selection for new annual trade and pro catalogues
- Oversee price changes alongside the B2B Director
- Assist the Senior Sales Administrator with sage pricing where required
- PD, Supply Chain & Legislation
- Work alongside the PD department
- Work closely with supply chain to ensure stock levels are maintained, discuss new lines, overstocks, and campaigns
- Complete relevant key accounts (such as Waitrose) annual paperwork prior to audit
- Provide FSC rules to key accounts (such as John Lewis) when required

Core office hours are attached.
28 days holiday including bank holidays and auto enrolment pension. Holiday goes up to 35 days after 2 years.
Car, laptop and mobile provided once on the road. Bonus is to be paid when out on road bringing in business. 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- An entrepreneur, strategic thinker, and natural leader - Curious, pro-active, positive, and pragmatic - Well organised, structured, detailed, and thorough - Be able to manage upwards, including producing and making presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, etc for the directors - Understand and execute the sales process of an FMCG - Have a proven track record in identifying, negotiating, and closing new sales opportunities to achieve sales targets - Have excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships both internally and externally - Be a quick thinker, good listener and able to easily translate customers' needs - Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented - Able to work under specified and agreed time constraints - Have excellent IT skills with advanced excel - Have an analytical mindset and able to leverage data across all interactions - Able to create presentations, manage databases, and able to forecast - Have a flexible approach to work and working hours - Full, clean driving licence
