Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
There are a number of responsibilities within the Sourcing Administrator role, which are outlined below:
Support the business in the onboarding of new suppliers for Burberry globally, including:
- Due diligence activities for new suppliers
- Liaising with the business to ensure that they are familiar with and understand their role in the process
- Supporting with any supplier-related queries as they may arise
- This is a new process for Burberry and we will be relying upon the insights the Sourcing Administrator can provide on this process to ensure continuous improvement and an approach that best supports Burberry’s requirements and internal customer satisfaction.
- Supporting the team in responding to internal procurement-related queries. Over time, ensuring that the team are meeting their internal business KPIs and supporting on the internal reporting thereof.
- Managing the contract database, including contract signature with suppliers and Burberry stakeholders, archiving and system alerts within Ariba. Upon request, support Category Management with contract lifecycle management for key suppliers using key data sets from within Ariba.
- Support category planning processes, including assisting Category Management with procurement activity planning and project delivery for the year ahead. Assisting the team with key supplier plans.
- Support the set-up of sourcing activities and where required, support Category Management in summarising final recommendations to the business.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Relevant experience in either core customer service or procurement operations. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire trust and confidence. A real problem solver with a completer/finisher mindset.
