The Graduate School Administrative Assistant will be reporting directly to the Dean of the Graduate School providing organizational and administrative support, and scheduling and arranging meetings. The post-holder will be the first point of contact for the Graduate School, providing advice for enquiries on graduate matters from other services and schools as well as external enquiries.
The responsibilities of the Graduate School Administrative Assistant include communication between the Dean’s office, other University services and Schools relating to administration, implementing and communicating academic and operational policies and procedures. The role will require strong interpersonal skills as liaison with those services that feed in to the Graduate School, which include Registry, Admissions, Research and Enterprise, and the International Office, is essential to the success of the role.
The administrator will assist in the preparation for committee meetings, annual evaluation within the Graduate School, as well as other reports as required. The Graduate School Administrative Assistant will possess excellent communications and organization skills; is expected to be student-centered; task-oriented, have the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team; and be proficient with computers for administration and reporting tasks.
