Job Description

My Client is a special purpose machinery manufacture seeking a confident Quality Manager to join the team, the main purpose of the role will be to help develop and maintain the company Quality Management System, as well as providing support to the business group.
Main responsibilities for the Quality Manager:
Responsible for the development, management, maintenance and continued certification of the quality management system
Drive, support and participate in the continual improvement programme
Own and drive the internal audit schedule by conducting audits in departments across the business
Host audit visits from Customers and certification bodies, and support visits and audits of suppliers
Coordinate, prioritise and manage the daily activities of the inspection team
Produce monthly management reports and KPIs
Manage any Customer issues through the Company system, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed
Review and approve supplier corrective action reports
Work with the project supply chain to arrange inspections of fabricated parts at the supplier's premises where required
Act as signatory authority for product release
Communicate changes within the QMS across the business
Work with the project supply chain in qualifying suppliers
Contribute at management review meetings
Implementation of policies and procedures
Provide Monthly KPI and associated risk management reports
Identify areas for Quality improvement and develop implementation plans
To be the successful Quality Manger you will have the follow skills & experience:
Experience of working in the mechanical engineering / manufacturing environment
Experience in the implementation of Quality management systems across multiskilled disciplines - ISO
Experience in the development and delivery of Quality training
Proven track-record to plan and organize daily / weekly activities to ensure priorities and objectives are achieved
Excellent communication skills, effective in written and oral form (English)
Information technology skills, competent skills in the use of Microsoft Office programs (maybe asked to demonstrate)

Lead Auditor (ISO9001) - ideally with qualifications or history of working to the ISO standard Quality Assurance Management - ideally with qualifications
