Job Description

A fantastic career opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Accountant to join this business as a Finance Manager and have the autonomy to run the finance function alongside the Business Owner. For this opportunity, you will need to have experience in management accounting and reporting for SME's and ideally have some experience gained from within the FMCG industry.

Reporting into the Business Owner, you will have responsibility for the day to accounting and payroll, ensuring accounts meet statutory requirements, and are run in an efficient and effective way.

Finance Manager job duties;

  • Create and monitor the weekly cash flow forecast, liaison with external accountants regarding the preparation of year-end accounts, preparation of financial reports and ensure budgets loaded into Xero accounting system.
  • Accurate and compliant bank and balance sheet reconciliations, reconciliation of sales ledger and purchase ledger.
  • Submit quarterly VAT returns and making supplier payments.
  • To bring the payroll in house, managing and processing the monthly payroll for Stores and Head Office.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally, you will be degree educated with a professional accounting qualification. A flexible and willing approach together with previous relevant experience within a similar SME business would you make a strong candidate for this role. Liaising with people externally and internally at all levels. Intermediate to advanced excel skills is required e.g. vlook up, pivot tables etc.
