Job Description

The successful candidate must have previous accountancy experience within Commercial Real Estate / Property Management with an understanding of RICS regulations. You will need to have experience working with a computer-based property management accounting system such as Yardi Voyager (preferred), TRAMPS or MRI Horizon (formerly Qube Horizon). You will also need to be confident with Microsoft Excel and be confident with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

Our highly successful, national client who liaise with blue-chip FTSE 100 companies are looking for a Property Management Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial investors who will have both industrial and office properties - ranging anywhere from 1 property to 50.

Duties for this Property Management Accountant will include but not be limited to:

  • Dealing with general client accounting duties including transfer of client's funds
  • Preparing period end client reporting packs on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • VAT reporting, bank reconciliations and rent deposit administration
  • Entering budgets prepared by the Property Management and reviewing apportionments
  • Managing and reconciling annual service charge accounts (including cash reconciliations and liaising with auditors)
  • Maintaining and updating system data including changes in rent and lease details as required
  • Analysed aged debtors and monitored fund balances

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch and split working hours on Fridays, alternating between 8.30am to 1.30pm with no lunch break, and 8.30 to 4.30 with 45 minutes for lunch.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have previous accountancy experience within Commercial Real Estate / Property Management with an understanding of RICS regulations
